Hello! Spykefastians & Blockchain Enthusiastic!

We recently hosted an AMA with Chronicle , on 2 June at 2 PM UTC. So here we are up with the AMA transcript, for those who missed the live session, this post will be a saver & a feeder of knowledge for them.

INTRODUCTORY QUESTIONS — BY SPYKEFAST TEAM.

Gem Flair — Q1. Kindly give brief introduction about yourself, Crypto experience and your role at #Chronicle Project?

HunterX | Spykefast :

A refresher to the community. 😁😁💪

Tim Glover:

Thanks, HunterX.

So my role in Chronicle is one of the co-founders. My background and involvement is that back in 2014–15 I worked with the digital marketing team at Universal Pictures in Los Angeles to create an immersive digital experience for fans of the Jurassic World movie, under the guidance of film director Colin Trevorrow.

(Hint: That fan experience turned out very well!)

Soon afterwards I was consulting for Universal Pictures on all things licensing — toys, merchandise, you name it!

I later came back and created another digital fan-focused experience for the next film with Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom in 2017–18.

Having made digital fan experiences for a mega franchise previously, we feel we can bring a unique perspective and experience to the world of digital collectibles ….

This leads to Chronicle

Gem Flair:

Wow ! Thats so huge and such a vast experience. You have worked with one of the best director in Hollywood. 🚀🚀

Amazing 👏👏

Tim Glover:

Working with Colin Trevorrow has been an incredible experience. He’s such a terrific person and a real visionary. Really cares for the franchise and whatever he is working on.

Gem Flair :

Good to hear that. Hope to meet him some day through your reference.😁

“What is Chronicle? Who are the founders? What are they building? How is it different?”

All of these questions answered (and more!) in our introduction post 📖

For community..😊

Gem Flair — Q2. Let’s talk in detail about #Chronicle project. What are the main features of the project?

Tim Glover:

Great idea! We also have another big announcement drop coming in a few hours. Do keep an 👀 out for it .. (hint: It will be really hard to miss)

Gem Flair:

Hope to get that announcement during AMA itself 😊

Tim Glover:

So Chronicle is a platform for officially licensed digital collectibles, or non-fungible tokens (NFTs) that is 100% fan-focused.

We want to put this platform in an easy to use application that any non-crypto person will be able to use. And I am happy to get more into what this looks like later as some of the questions go more specific …

On the surface, fans (users of Chronicle) will be able to buy, sell, trade, bid (auction) and gift digital collectibles from their favourite IPs.

We took some of the early studio feedback and integrated it into Chronicle. Things like email address registration, USD payments for collectibles, smart phone capable, etc.

Basically we’re making digital collectibles easy and accessible for everyone.

Gem Flair:

Great idea. NFT is the next big thing in crypto. Making it simpler and easier for non crypto users is one of the best strategy to bring the masses on the platform.

Gem Flair — Q3. What are the major utilities of holding the #XNL token? How does team plan to enhance it value so as to attract users onboard?

Tim Glover:

100% … and working with the fans to disseminate those collectibles, too!

We see XNL in its current state as a utility and reward token within the Chronicle ecosystem.

I say current state, because I like to think that we will be evolving the state and creating many use cases over time. Jim (my fellow co-founder) and I like to think of BNB as a great example 😎

Chronicle users will be able to look forward to:

Marketplace:

- Priority access to limited edition digital collectibles

Community Governance:

- Create and vote for different feature requests regarding development

Treasury:

- Includes XNL token buyback from revenue (🔥🔥🔥)

Rewards and Bonus:

- Launching of DeFi-like incentivised programs where users can stake XNL and earn rewards

Fees and Discounts:

- Enjoying discounts on collectibles when holding a certain amount of XNL tokens (also ties in with the gamification of the platform)

Gem Flair:

So we have 5 major usecase and utility of XNL token 🚀🚀

Gem Flair — Q4. How is #Chronicle project different from other competitors?

Tim Glover:

That’s right, with more to come. We’re also fortunate to have teamed up with a few partners (which I am happy to elaborate on) that may further incentivise XNL :)

Gem Flair:

Would love to hear on that

HunterX | Spykefast :

🎉 We’re happy to announce our latest partnership with Chronicle 🎉

🗄 Chronicle will implement Chromia as a technical solution for database management and storage within its platform.

🔗 The partnership further explores:

☑️ Bringing respective communities from Chromia and Chronicle together

☑️ Exploring further opportunities with decentralized technology and non-fungible tokens (e.g., proof of concepts)

✍🏽 Chronicle is a studio and digital marketplace platform built entirely for fans featuring officially licensed digital collectibles, more commonly known as NFT’s.

Read what Chromia’s COO and Co-Founder Or Perelman and Chronicle’s Co-Founder Tim Glover have to say about this new partnership. You can also find the complete info about Chronicle here ➡️

This is one of the partnership i admire.

Great progress by the team so far. 💪💪

Tim Glover:

So I guess we answered some of this in the introduction, where we stated that we’re looking to create a platform that’s very focused on making digital collectibles easy and accessible to fans.

NBA Top Shots, for example, was a great inspiration for us. What they’ve done by:

a) Focusing on fans, and

b) Making the process easy by email registration and USD fiat onboarding

We’re going one step further by making our platform accessible via smart phone with an iOS / Android app.

Digital collectibles in your pocket!

VeVe, who are doing digital collectibles via smart phone app are mostly focused on 3D models and figurines, whilst we are focusing on digital trading cards and packs.

Ultimately I think there will be room for multiple platforms and it’ll eventually come down to UI/UX and who is creating the most immersive collectibles.

Thank you, always something happening behind the scenes!

HunterX | Spykefast — Q5. What major events can we expect in the 2021 #Chronicle Network Development Roadmap?

When can we expect the public sale?

Tim Glover:

haha! That’s the golden question 🔥🔥

HunterX | Spykefast :

Yes.. With the present market situation.. This becomes like a million dollar question.

All depends upon the great strategic decision of the team. 💪💪

Tim Glover:

Sure, happy to elaborate what we’re looking to get done in 2021, as well as highlight what has been done already.

HunterX | Spykefast :

Nicely summarized.. 💪

LIVE AMA QUESTIONS.

Anh Thư #HODL $TEL $UBX $EARNX:

How you host 2 ama at the same time like now? $XNL

Tim Glover:

Well spotted! (and thank you for following us). This was actually my fault, we had double booked at the same time purely by mistake. I wanted to ensure that we kept to our promise as the banner and announcements had already been created.

For this reason our other team member Jack is leading the responses in the other channel.

Thank you for your concern. The team is 200% committed right now :)

ANDY:

@chaos_timothy Fans are at the heart of Chronicle’s mission.

How to you plan to benefit them with your project.

What is your working process.

$XNL

Tim Glover:

This is a great question, Andy. Fans are at the heart of Chronicle. We basically want to onboard brands with large fan bases and then work with online fan communities to bring them into Chronicle.

Fans have wonderful communities — YouTube influencers, Facebook groups, Twitter personalities … we will be teaming up with them to disseminate the collectibles on Chronicle and market them to larger audiences!

Bobby:

Looking down the roadmap, I can see the roll-out of the new goals as seen in your website.

Are you still on schedule for these to go live ?

Or it has been delayed due to COVID-19?

$XNL

@chaos_timothy

Tim Glover:

Thanks Bobby. No, fortunately nothing has been delayed due to COVID-19. In fact I can say that Chronicle itself has been accelerated due to this fact. Appreciate your concern and I hope everyone out there remands safe and vigilant in these testing times.

SB :

What is the special feature of your infinite loop.

How is it different from other NFT projects.

Does it provide any special incentive to the investors

$XNL

@chaos_timothy

Tim Glover:

Our infinite loop in this instance refers to us onboarding brands, creating the collectibles with the IP owners, putting them onto the Chronicle Store for fans to interact with, and then repeating this process over and over with new brands and onboardings.

For Now:

The gap between Studio and Film Franchise and crpyto NFT is still huge. How can Chronicle bridge this to attract more filmmaker and creator’s to try new blockchain games with NFTs?

Tim Glover:

Well spotted. It is huge! I completely agree.

I think to be fair, we are starting to see film franchises being to look at NFTs more closely and some of the other platforms have also started to get digital collectibles from films.

One thing that people are not actually aware of is that the ability to license a film scene involving actors/actresses (real life, not animated) is almost impossible. This is called “talent” and the licensing of talent is very difficult. So platforms are looking to focus on other characters, such as dinosaurs, Godzilla, animated series, etc.

We have other partnerships that are in the mix with Television shows and you might begin to hear and see us involved in some unique Proof of Concepts over time, that help to bridge this gap into television. We want to show the big film studios what is possible!

Silver Spoon:

What ethical and legal considerations do you implement in the execution of your project activities? How do you ensure that your contents and NFT marketplace are reach the target user you want?

$XNL

Tim Glover:

I think I can probably answer this question from the technical perspective.

There’s been a lot of talk of environmental concerns around Proof of Work systems and NFTs. For this reason (and to keep brands happy) we are ensuring our tech is being built on a environmentally friendly blockchain (Proof of Stake) — in this case we are looking closely at NEAR Protocol.

With regards to the collectibles themselves, we work hand in hand with the IP owners. Everything is looked after.

Na Na:

Axie Infinity NFT Gaming and Sandbox are Chronicle’s direct competitors, related to NFT marketplace. What uniqueness or competitive advantages does Chronicle has over it’s competitors? What are the features that make you different and valuable?

Tim Glover:

I actually disagree that these are competitors, they are NFT games. We are looking to create digital collectibles.

So for example think of your traditional Pokemon cards of NBA basketball cards from the 1990s. Upper Deck, Topps, Hoops, et al. We are looking to create digital versions of those that are smart phone friendly.

Also even within close competition (VeVe, Dapper, etc) I think there is a lot of room to play. There are going to be multiple winners in this space and I forsee brands even having their collectibles on multiple platforms. Eventually it’s going to come down to who has the most immersive collectibles and UI/UX! 🔥🔥

Tim Glover:

Screenshot from the Chronicle onboarding process. You’re all the first to see this.

So yes, we are absolutely taking age into consideration.

COSING REMARKS.
